Scott Cox - Weekdays: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Inga Barks - Weekdays: 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM

Scott was born in Hanford, California in 1964. Other than that, Scott refuses to discuss his past as it is shrouded in mystery. One listener was overheard saying "Holy Gigli! That guy really is mysterious!"

Scott broke into local radio in 1999, with an afternoon show on KERN's sister-station KGEO-AM. His ratings quickly outgrew the station, and in late fall 2000, he moved to KERN in a (quite successful) attempt to reverse a Dr. Laura-induced ratings slide. In the Summer of 2006, Scott hit the big time by filling in for nationally syndicated talk show host Jerry Doyle. It's only a matter of time before Scott kisses the right butt to get his own syndicated show and leave Bakersfield. He's already expanding into the Bay Area as the host of The Scott Cox Show on KSFO AM which is heard Saturdays 7-10PM

KERN's Inga Barks was selected as the 2007 Woman of the Year (18th Senate District) for her extensive work in the community and her efforts in passing "Dylan's Law". She was honored March 5th at the State Capitol in Sacramento. Inga was nominated by Sen. Roy Ashburn (R-Bakersfield)

Inga is truly "Bakersfield's Hometown Girl". The married mother of three boys continues to make waves with her conservative takes four days a week from 10-12n and FOUR hours on Fridays during KERN's Friday Free For All from 8a-12n with her friend and colleague Scott Cox.
